"Syncing can be hit or miss"
Not gonna lie, the syncing is a little frustrating. Sometimes it works just fine, and other times it just doesn’t sync at all for no obvious reason.

"I really like being able to see other..."
I really like being able to see other hikers’ photos and tips, and sharing my own routes with friends is simple. The only thing that bugs me is how long the comments can take to load sometimes. I’ll be sitting there waiting just to read what people said, and it gets frustrating.

"I’ll be honest, I usually stick..."
I’ll be honest, I usually stick with my go-to outdoor brand, so I wasn’t totally sure about trying this. But the safety features have actually been really useful. I hike alone often, and having that extra peace of mind makes a big difference. Kind of annoying because now I’m questioning my loyalty a bit.

"Solid for finding trails, but I’m picky about tracking"
I use AllTrails regularly when I’m planning hikes, and the maps have been helpful for the most part. That said, I do have a certain standard for fitness tracking, and the stats feel a little too basic for me. The progress tracking is fine, but sometimes it’s not as clear or accurate as I’d like. Overall, it gets the job done, but I expected a bit more from that side of the app.

"Helpful for planning hikes"
I use AllTrails often when I’m figuring out weekend hikes, and it’s usually been accurate for me. The distance, elevation, and route maps have matched up well on most of the trails I’ve tried, which makes planning a lot easier. I’d give it 4 stars mainly because some of the condition updates can be kinda outdated, like muddy areas or closed sections not showing up. Still, it’s been reliable overall, and I usually just check the recent reviews too before heading out

"Pretty solid for finding hikes"
I use AllTrails often, both when I’m looking for something nearby and when I’m traveling. It usually has a good amount of trail info, and I tend to find more hiking options there than I do on Google Maps. Every now and then a smaller local path is missing or the info seems a little outdated, so I still like to double-check if I’m unsure. But overall, it’s been really helpful and reliable in most places I’ve used it.
"Helps me remember the journey, even with a few glitches"
I’ve been using it to track my hikes, and overall it does a solid job. It’s nice being able to look back and see where I went, how far I pushed myself, and kind of relive the day afterward. Every now and then it pauses at odd times, which can be a little annoying, but it hasn’t ruined the experience for me. It still helps me feel more connected to the trails I’ve done.
"AllTrails has been super stable for me!!!"
I’ve been using alltrails on my weekend hikes lately, it’s been really solid!!! The map pulls up quickly, and I haven’t had it freeze on me, even when my signal gets sketchy out on the trail!!!
I did have one crash on an older phone a few months back, but recently it’s been smooth with no problems at all!!! The tracking keeps running in the background, which is basically the biggest thing I need from it!!!

"Usually fine, but something was off"
Most days I can log in without any issue, but one time I suddenly couldn’t get in for some reason. The reset email showed up quickly, so I guess that part worked, and my account has been fine since. Still, it did feel like something on their side wasn’t quite working right that day

"Good app for the price, but GPS can be spotty"
I’ve been using the app for a bit and overall it’s good, especially since I’m always trying to avoid paying too much for apps. The main issue I’ve had is that the GPS loses me sometimes, which can be annoying when I’m trying to stay on track. Still, for the price, it does the job most of the time

"Helpful reviews, but I still felt brushed off"
I checked the community tips and a few of them were actually helpful, but some felt outdated. When I tried to get more clarity, it kind of felt like my concerns were being dismissed instead of actually addressed.

"Glad I Checked the Photos First"
I was a little skeptical at first, but the trail photos actually helped a lot. They gave me a heads-up about the muddy spots before I got out there, which saved me from a annoying surprise.

"Solid privacy options for a hiking app"
I’ve been using alltrails for hikes lately, and one thing I really appreciate is how easy the privacy settings are to find. I can keep my profile a bit more locked down and decide what activities I actually want to share.
I’m usually careful with apps that track maps and location, but this one gives me enough control over saved trails and recordings that I don’t feel like everything is automatically out there for everyone to see.
It’s not perfect, but it feels straightforward and not shady. If you use trail apps and care about privacy, I’d say alltrails is worth checking out.

"Awesome for discovering new local hikes :)"
I mostly use alltrails when I’m tired of doing the same old walks and want to find something new nearby. The trail suggestions are usually really solid, and I love being able to check out photos and reviews before I go. I’ve found a few trails close to home that I had no idea existed! Super handy app.

"I’ve been using AllTrails Pro for a bit…"
I’ve been using alltrails Pro for a bit now, and yeah, for me it’s been worth the price. The billing was straightforward, I was charged exactly what I expected, and there weren’t any random extra fees popping up. Managing the subscription was easy too, which I really appreciate.

"Pretty handy for weekend hikes"
I use AllTrails almost every weekend, it’s just really easy to figure out. Finding trails, saving them, and checking reviews only takes like a minute, which is kind of what you want, right? The map usually loads clearly too, and I like being able to quickly see the distance and difficulty before deciding. It’s not perfect every single time, but overall it makes planning hikes way less annoying.

"Support was quick and actually helpful"
I had a little issue with my AllTrails account not syncing properly and figured I’d be waiting forever to hear back. But support got back to me the same day and walked me through the fix without making it complicated. The person was friendly, clear, and didn’t just send some generic copy-paste reply. I actually mentioned it to a friend because it’s nice when an app’s support team is this easy to deal with.

"Offline map worked great, but I kept worrying about every little thing"
I used the AllTrails offline map last weekend when I had absolutely no signal, it saved me from taking the wrong fork. I downloaded the map at home before leaving and that part was easy, no problems there. The trail line was clear and my location kept updating well, which was a relief because I kept thinking, “If this thing glitches now, I’m done.” My only complaint is I kept checking it over and over because I didn’t fully trust it at first, and I wish the battery drain was even lower. Battery use was still okay, but yeah, I’m always annoyed about battery stuff on hikes. Still, it worked when I needed it, and I was really happy to have it.

"Handy when I want to change plans mid-hike"
I mostly use AllTrails to plan weekend hikes, and it’s been really useful for comparing routes and saving a few options before I commit. I like being able to adjust my plan on the fly, especially when I get out there and decide to trust my instinct about which trail feels like the better choice that day. The maps can load a little slowly sometimes, and not every route detail is 100% perfect, but overall it makes planning hikes a lot easier. I’d give it 4 stars...
